“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Matthew 9:37-38

The secular humanistic worldview which dominates much of modern society leaves many of the most important questions of the human life unanswered.

Why are we here? Do we have a purpose? Why does life have value?

God’s word is clear that people are sacred and valuable because both man and woman are made in God’s image and we exist to display His glory.

We ought to live in right relationship with God, loving and trusting His wisdom and sovereignty, however, due to our own rebellion, all are separated from a right relationship with God.

Whilst we were living in defiance of Him, Jesus came to reconcile the lost through His death and resurrection. In Christ, we can be restored to right relationship with God.

Therefore, this endeavour does not aim to promote a single denomination, organisation or church but to meet man’s greatest need which is to be reconciled to God by power of the gospel, for His glory.

All Christians are saved by God’s grace, through faith in Christ. The reason for this is given that God would be glorified in His justice being upheld in the punishment for sin being paid upon the cross and also that His grace is displayed as He is the one who justifies the ungodly (Romans 3:23-26, Romans 4:5).

He has called us from death to life in Christ so that we would do the works He prepared before hand for us to do.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

– Ephesians 2:8-10

Along with bearing fruit of being a new creation, forgiven and restored by God’s grace, we are commanded to ‘go’ to the peoples of the world and make disciples of Christ.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

– Matthew 28:19-20

Just as Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10) , He continues His work with us and through us, His body, the church (1 Corinthians 12:27). We are Christ’s ambassadors and we are given the ministry to pursue the lost so that they may be reconciled to God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

– 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes
